Job Description
The company is looking for a Steel Modeler to join their team in the Greater Kolkata Area. This role involves creating precise 3D steel models and detailed fabrication drawings using BIM software. You'll be interpreting structural and architectural plans, modeling steel structures and connections, and working closely with engineering and drafting teams to ensure everything aligns with project standards and codes.
Your day-to-day will include preparing shop and erection drawings, updating models as needed, and supporting clash detection and constructability reviews. This is a full-time, on-site position where collaboration with project stakeholders is key to meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
To succeed in this role, you'll need proficiency in steel modeling software like Tekla Structures, a strong ability to read and interpret structural drawings, and a good understanding of BIM workflows. Experience with model coordination and clash detection is important, as is familiarity with steel design codes and industry practices. The company is seeking someone with 4–7 years of modeling experience and good communication skills.
