Job Description
The company is looking for a 3D Surface Modeler to join their team in Syracuse, New York. This role is primarily remote, with occasional travel to job sites. You'll be using advanced software to create 3D surface models that are essential for GPS machine control and construction layout equipment on heavy civil projects.
In this position, you will work closely with clients to gather site data and review design plans to ensure all necessary information is present. Your main task will be developing accurate 3D surface models and layout maps to meet client specifications, often on fast-paced projects with tight deadlines.
Ideal candidates will have a degree in Construction or Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience in heavy civil work or surveying. Proficiency with software like Trimble Business Center, Carlson Civil, or AutoCAD Civil 3D is highly desired, as is experience with machine control and construction layout equipment. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently are key.
