Job Description
The company is looking for a CAD/BIM Operator in East Hanover, New Jersey. This role involves creating detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of vertical transportation equipment like elevators and escalators, primarily using AutoCAD and Revit. You'll be working closely with project managers and engineers, ensuring all designs meet internal standards and project requirements.
Your day-to-day will include coordinating BIM models with other trades, revising drawings based on feedback, and maintaining accuracy and consistency throughout the project lifecycle. You'll also assist with design submissions and gather data from manufacturers.
To succeed in this position, you should have an Associate's degree or technical certification in drafting or a related field, with 2-5 years of professional CAD drafting experience. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, along with a solid understanding of BIM collaboration tools and drafting standards, is essential.
