Job Description
The company is looking for a Construction Cost Engineer to join their team in Austin, Texas. This role is all about managing construction costs and making sure the change management process runs smoothly for engineering and construction projects. If you have experience with mechanical, electrical, or process systems, that would be a great plus.
In this position, you'll be developing and implementing cost management programs, tracking budgets, and forecasting costs throughout project execution. You'll also be capturing and managing change orders, and helping to build out project control processes like risk management and earned value. Reporting on cost performance to various teams and management will be a key part of the job, as will analyzing trends to identify risks and communicate findings.
To be successful, you'll need a strong understanding of construction methods across various disciplines and expertise in cost estimating for large-scale facilities. Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with construction software like Aconex, P6, and Bluebeam are essential. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment is also important.
