Job Description
This role is for an Assistant Engineer specializing in steel construction in New York City. You'll be responsible for managing and assessing project information to ensure it stays on time, within budget, and meets quality standards as defined by contract documents. This involves acting as a key liaison between various stakeholders like architects, subcontractors, and owners to resolve issues related to plans and specifications.
You'll oversee critical aspects of the project, from managing the budget and submittals to assessing conformance with contract specifications and negotiating change orders. This position also includes supervising junior engineering staff and preparing essential project documentation and reports. Experience with BIM and LEAN technologies is a plus.
