Job Description
The company is looking for a Senior BIM Specialist to join their team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role involves creating constructible 3D models and detailed construction documents to support complex electrical installations. You'll collaborate closely with project managers and other team members, contributing to project planning and ensuring designs are accurate and efficient.
In this position, you will be responsible for executing daily work plans, providing technical support to various project stakeholders, and resolving design issues. A key part of the role includes detailed modeling, clash detection, and annotating sheets, as well as gathering necessary information from other design disciplines to keep projects on schedule. You will also develop conceptual designs and value engineering ideas to assist with estimates.
The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree or equivalent experience in BIM, with 3-4 years of modeling experience. Proficiency in Autodesk, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office is essential. Experience with Evolve software is a plus. A strong understanding of electrical contracts, plans, drawings, specifications, and the National Electrical Code is preferred, along with basic project management skills and an understanding of the project lifecycle.
