BIM Specialist

Ferguson

The company is looking for a VDC/BIM Plumbing Specialist to join their team. This role involves taking customer project needs and translating them into 3D data, working closely with project engineers and architects to make adjustments from conception to completion. You'll be analyzing specifications and making independent decisions on pipe routing to optimize field labor, using your trade experience and knowledge of virtual construction. This position requires a solid understanding of construction practices and building codes for mechanical and plumbing systems. The ability to interpret critical building and blueprint specifications to make sound decisions for pre-construction virtual design is key. While experience with software like Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud is preferred, it's not strictly required. This is a hybrid role, ideally based in Newport News, VA, with a mix of in-office and remote work. However, they are open to considering remote candidates for the right fit. If you have a strong background in plumbing or mechanical construction and are skilled in VDC/BIM, this could be a great opportunity.
