Job Description
This role is for a Lead BIM Quantity Surveyor in Bengaluru, India. You'll be responsible for extracting quantities from BIM models and drawings to create detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates. This involves performing rate analysis for various trades, maintaining cost databases, and tracking market rates.
You will support the sales and design teams by providing quick and accurate costing for proposals and client pitches. The role also includes value engineering to meet budget targets and scouting for new materials and vendors to optimize costs and timelines. You'll also manage cost deviations and provide costing support for changes during construction.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Quantity Surveying, with 8-10 years of experience in cost estimation, particularly in commercial interiors. Strong skills in MS Excel and SAP, along with a deep understanding of costing for C&I, MEP, and interior finishes, are essential. You should be adept at delivering fast and accurate costing outputs, even with limited information, and have a good grasp of the Indian market conditions.
