This company is looking for a Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Reality Capture Technician in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. You'll be responsible for gathering and processing reality capture data, which is key for coordination, checking as-built conditions, and analyzing models. This role involves using drones and managing point cloud data to support project VDC workflows. You'll be collecting aerial and ground-based data, then organizing it for use in coordination and reporting. A significant part of the job is verifying field conditions against project models using various surveying tools. You'll also be cleaning and integrating this data into 3D models and project workflows, identifying any discrepancies. The position starts in Edmonton and will later move to a project site near Fort Saskatchewan. Experience with drone piloting, data management, and construction environments is important.
