Job Description
The company is looking for a Geomatics Specialist in Barrie, Ontario, Canada. This role involves collecting, processing, and analyzing LiDAR and survey data to support accurate modeling and design integration for infrastructure projects. You'll be working with static, mobile, and UAV LiDAR systems, processing 3D point clouds, and extracting features to develop 3D models.
You'll also integrate this data into CAD, BIM, and GIS environments, ensuring data integrity through QA/QC checks. Collaboration with survey, engineering, and construction teams is key, as is maintaining documentation and workflows. A diploma or degree in Geomatics, Surveying, or GIS, along with 2-5 years of experience in point cloud processing and 3D modeling tools, is required. Familiarity with CAD/BIM software and geospatial data workflows is also important.
