Job Description
The company is looking for an intermediate construction site technician in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. This role involves acting as a site superintendent, overseeing health, safety, and environmental aspects for all stakeholders, including subcontractors. You'll lead daily safety meetings, ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards, and coordinate necessary resources for construction work.
Your responsibilities will include monitoring progress, performing quality control, and collecting operational and financial data to produce accurate reports. You will also conduct field work to supervise environmental characterizations of soil and groundwater, as well as land rehabilitation. Experience with cost accounting systems for project financial tracking is also required.
To be successful in this role, you should have post-secondary education and at least 8 years of experience in materials control and/or environmental rehabilitation monitoring. Previous experience coordinating construction or environmental rehabilitation sites is essential. A valid driver's license, access to a vehicle, ASP Construction card, and WHMIS certification are also necessary.
