Job Description
This role in Québec City is for an intermediate designer focused on mining tailings management and geotechnical engineering. You'll be involved in designing digital solutions for projects, supporting research and development, and contributing to the planning and execution of construction and rehabilitation projects for mining sites and geo-structures.
You will also help maintain software used for project management and technical analysis, conduct quality assurance tests, and produce reports by collecting and analyzing data from various sources. The position requires a civil engineering technician background or equivalent, with at least 5 years of experience in civil engineering, geotechnics, mining tailings, transportation, and hydrology. Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3D modeling software (like Civil 3D, Revit, Muk 3D, ArcGIS), and strong communication skills are essential.
