The company is looking for an intermediate mechanical and industrial piping designer in Repentigny, Quebec. This role involves designing and modeling complex installations for the mining and industrial sectors, working closely with multidisciplinary teams. You'll use CAD/DAO tools to produce drawings, plans, and diagrams based on engineering calculations and specifications, ensuring all designs meet high standards of quality and safety. You will also be responsible for creating 3D models of layouts, assisting engineers with quantity take-offs, and occasionally visiting sites for data collection. Occasional site visits are part of the role to gather necessary data for detailed plan design and define project preparatory elements. A DEC in mechanical engineering or industrial design training is required, along with 5 years of relevant engineering design experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Plan 3D, Inventor, and Revit is essential, as is bilingualism due to frequent involvement in projects with English-speaking clients and partners.
