Job Description
This company is looking for a Piping Design Technician to join their team in Brossard, Quebec, Canada. You'll be working on significant projects in green energy, chemical processes, and industrial facilities, focusing on the design and modeling of piping systems and mechanical equipment.
Your role will involve interpreting technical drawings, creating 3D models of industrial piping and mechanical equipment, and producing detailed drawings, plans, and piping isometrics. You'll also contribute to P&IDs, prepare equipment and material lists, and assist with estimations and quantity take-offs. Collaboration with engineers and multidisciplinary teams will be key, as will conducting site surveys and updating existing plans.
The ideal candidate has a DEC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with at least 10 years of experience in industrial piping and mechanical design. Proficiency in Plant 3D is essential, along with a good understanding of ASME B31.3 and API standards. Strong Excel and Word skills, an ASP Construction card, and experience in consulting engineering are also valuable.
