Job Description
The company is looking for a Building Designer Technician in Brossard, Quebec, Canada. This role involves transforming site surveys into construction-ready plans, coordinating architectural, structural, and MEP elements, and delivering industrial layouts for well-known manufacturing clients. Proficiency in Revit is essential for this position.
In this role, you will design factory layouts, including workstations, shipping/receiving areas, and circulation paths, while integrating equipment and coordinating MEP constraints. You will also update "as-built" plans and prepare deliverables for client and site approval. The position requires reading and coordinating multi-discipline plans to prevent inconsistencies and ensure smooth execution.
The ideal candidate will have a DEC in Architecture Technology, Building Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience. You should be autonomous with Revit for modeling and plan production, with 3 to 7 years of experience in building or industrial design. A Construction ASP card is required, or a commitment to obtain it quickly. Fluency in French is mandatory, with functional English for client collaboration.
