Job Description
The company is looking for a building designer technician in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. This role involves transforming site surveys into construction-ready plans, coordinating architectural, structural, and MEP elements, and delivering industrial layouts for well-known manufacturing clients. Proficiency in Revit is essential for this position.
You will be responsible for designing and planning factory layouts, including workstations, receiving/shipping areas, and circulation paths. This includes integrating equipment, coordinating MEP constraints, updating as-built plans, and preparing deliverables for client approval and site use. You'll also interpret and coordinate multi-discipline plans to prevent inconsistencies and ensure smooth execution.
The ideal candidate will have a DEC in architectural technology, building engineering, or mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience. You should be autonomous with Revit for modeling and plan production, with 3 to 7 years of experience in building or industrial design. Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus, as is the ability to understand and coordinate between architecture, structure, and MEP.
