Job Description
This role is for an experienced VDC Specialist focused on translating design intent into detailed BIM models for mechanical and plumbing systems. You'll be working with engineers and managers to create LOD400 models, coordinating with general contractors and other trades to ensure spatial harmony. This involves attending coordination meetings, generating RFIs, and producing detailed shop drawings, hanger drawings, and sleeve drawings for fabrication and installation.
You'll also be responsible for creating and annotating these drawings, exporting coordinates for field layout, and communicating effectively with field personnel. A key part of the role includes mentoring junior VDC Specialists and staying current with modeling and collaboration software. The company is looking for someone proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Fabrication CADmep, and Navisworks, with at least two years of experience in mechanical or plumbing system modeling.
