BIM/VDC Specialist
Job Description
This role is for a VDC/BIM Specialist focused on piping and fabrication, offering a 100% remote opportunity. The company is seeking someone who enjoys tackling constructability issues and coordinating with field and fabrication teams to create models that translate into actual built projects.
You'll be responsible for developing detailed piping and mechanical fabrication models, producing shop drawings, and leading clash-resolution efforts. This involves close collaboration with various trades, fabrication shops, and field teams to ensure smooth project execution and participating in coordination meetings.
The ideal candidate will have experience in piping, mechanical, or plumbing detailing within a VDC context, with strong Revit and Navisworks skills. Previous work with a mechanical contractor, piping contractor, or fabrication shop is highly valued, as is a solid understanding of fabrication workflows, spooling, hangers, sleeves, and field installation processes.
If you have a background in the trades or fabrication and have transitioned into BIM/VDC, this could be a great next step.
