Job Description
This role is for a VDC/BIM professional focused on piping and fabrication, offering a 100% remote contract-to-hire opportunity. The company is seeking someone who enjoys tackling constructability issues and coordinating with field and fabrication teams to create models that translate into actual built projects.
In this position, you will develop detailed piping and mechanical fabrication models, produce shop and spool drawings, and lead clash-resolution efforts. You'll also collaborate closely with fabrication shops and field teams to support project execution and participate in constructability reviews.
The ideal candidate will have experience in piping, mechanical, or plumbing detailing/VDC, with a strong understanding of fabrication workflows and construction processes. Proficiency in Revit and Navisworks is essential, as is prior experience with a mechanical contractor or fabrication shop. Candidates with a background in the trades who have transitioned into BIM/VDC are particularly encouraged to apply.
