The company is looking for an Estimator to join their team in Cambridge, Ontario. This is a new role focused on preparing detailed cost estimates for heavy civil projects. You'll be responsible for quantity take-offs, coordinating sub-trades, and updating cost databases, with a goal to make the estimating function state-of-the-art. You'll also support the estimating team, assist with contract change orders, and ensure quality control for clients. Some travel within Southwestern Ontario for site visits and meetings will be required. This opportunity is ideal for someone with at least 7 years of estimating experience, particularly in infrastructure projects. Strong communication skills, the ability to read construction drawings, and proficiency with estimating software are essential. A background in civil engineering and knowledge of contract language are considered assets.
