This company is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Space business unit in Friedrichshafen, Germany. You'll be working on the mechanical design and 3D modeling of complex space components, from individual parts to complete assemblies, for satellites and space probes. Your role will involve developing precise solutions for structural, radar, and optical components, ensuring they meet the highest quality and safety standards. You'll also create detailed technical drawings and documentation, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate components and manage harness design. The ideal candidate has a degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent experience, with strong skills in CAD design, particularly 3DEXPERIENCE/CATIA V6. A solid understanding of mechanical design principles, especially for manufactured components and bolted connections, along with knowledge of radar and optical space components, is essential.
