Job Description
The company is looking for a Mechanical Site Engineer to join a major expansion project for a lithium plant in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Quebec. This is a temporary role, expected to last two to three years, with a flexible 7/7 or 14/14 shift schedule.
In this position, you'll be the go-to person for technical support on mechanical and piping aspects of the project. Your responsibilities will include reviewing engineering plans and specifications, managing technical queries from the site and subcontractors, and ensuring the work being done aligns with the design. You'll also be involved in approving shop drawings and collaborating with external engineering firms on design changes.
This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and membership with the OIQ, or being on track to obtain it. You should have at least five years of experience in mechanical engineering within an industrial or mining construction setting, with a good understanding of relevant codes and standards. Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software is also essential.
