Job Description
The company is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This role involves ensuring the quality of electrical construction work aligns with specifications and design drawings. You'll be attending site inspections and coordination meetings, witnessing testing and commissioning, and following up with local authorities for approvals.
Your responsibilities will include monitoring work quality against contract specifications and industry best practices, maintaining records of work completed, and ensuring defects are rectified. You'll also oversee the health and safety of site staff and review electrical design and as-built drawings. A key part of this role is ensuring installations comply with local regulations, particularly DEWA standards, given the project's location.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and at least seven years of experience, with a significant portion in local construction and consultancy roles. Experience with testing, commissioning, and local authority follow-up is essential. Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of Arabic and a UAE driving license are advantageous. Familiarity with reviewing AutoCAD and Revit drawings is also expected.
