This role is for a Mechanical Technician in the Energy sector, focusing on the design and optimization of mechanical systems within complex technical environments. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating closely with project managers and other disciplines to deliver effective solutions for clients. Your day-to-day will involve conducting site surveys, developing mechanical plans and specifications using CAD/DAO tools (2D and 3D), and preparing equipment lists. You'll also participate in coordination meetings, review shop drawings, and conduct site visits to ensure quality and report on progress. A valid driver's license is required for site travel. The ideal candidate has a DEC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with at least 5 years of relevant CAD/DAO design experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and Revit is essential, with knowledge of Plant 3D and CATIA being an asset. Familiarity with HVAC, piping, and mechanical standards is also expected, along with strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
