Job Description
This role is for a Mechanical Technician within the Energy sector, focusing on power generation, renewables, and transmission. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the design and optimization of mechanical systems in complex projects. Your work will involve creating plans and specifications, collaborating with project managers, and ensuring solutions meet client needs.
You will be involved in technical surveys, developing mechanical plans and specifications using CAD/BIM tools, and preparing equipment lists. The position also includes participating in coordination meetings, reviewing shop drawings, and conducting site visits to validate work quality. A valid driver's license is required for site travel.
The ideal candidate has a DEC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with at least 5 years of relevant CAD/BIM design experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and Revit is essential, with knowledge of Plant 3D or CATIA being an asset. Familiarity with mechanical, piping, and HVAC standards is also expected, along with strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
