Job Description
The company is looking for a Building Mechanical Engineer (Designer/Project Manager) in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. This role involves taking charge of mechanical building projects from client needs definition to project delivery. You'll be the main point of contact for clients, internal teams, and external partners, while also contributing to the design of mechanical systems.
Your responsibilities will include managing project scope, schedule, budget, and quality. You will gather client needs, propose technical solutions, and coordinate the design of mechanical plans and specifications (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, controls, etc.). This involves planning and leading coordination meetings, performing site surveys, estimating costs, and ensuring the quality of technical deliverables.
To succeed in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 10-15 years of relevant experience in building mechanics, including project coordination or management. Proficiency in Office Suite is required, and knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit is a plus. Strong French and English communication skills are essential, along with autonomy, rigor, teamwork, and attention to detail.
