This role is for a Mechanical Engineer with a focus on water projects, based in Pune or Visakhapatnam, India. The company is looking for someone to contribute their expertise in mechanical plant design for industrial water treatment and pumping station projects. You'll be working within a multidisciplinary team, supporting the delivery of conceptual, outline, and detailed designs, as well as providing construction support. Your responsibilities will include equipment sizing and selection, developing technical specifications and schedules, and creating general arrangement drawings. You'll also be involved in preparing technical reports, bills of quantities, and piping layouts. The role requires supporting project managers to ensure projects meet client and company expectations for profit, schedule, and quality. The ideal candidate will have a degree in mechanical engineering and 3-10 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment or pumping station projects. Familiarity with ASME and API codes, equipment specification development, and software like AutoCAD, REVIT, or Open Plant Modeler is preferred. Strong data manipulation and technical writing skills are also important.
