This role is for a Mechanical Technician in the Energy sector, based in Sherbrooke, Quebec. You'll be part of a team working on various energy projects, including hydroelectric, renewable energy, and transmission networks. Your responsibilities will involve contributing to the design and optimization of mechanical systems, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and preparing technical drawings and specifications. You will be involved in site surveys, developing mechanical plans and specifications using CAD/BIM tools, and reviewing shop drawings. The position also includes site visits to ensure work quality and participating in coordination meetings. A valid driver's license is required for site travel. The ideal candidate will have a DEC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with at least 5 years of relevant CAD/BIM design experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and Revit is essential, with knowledge of Plant 3D being an asset. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a team are also important.
