Job Description
The company is looking for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join their Hydropower team in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This role involves developing design packages for hydroelectric balance-of-plant systems, including high, medium, and low voltage systems. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to projects from initial design through to construction support and commissioning.
You'll be responsible for preparing detailed electrical designs, conducting engineering studies using software like ETAP, and developing technical specifications for major electrical equipment. This includes creating engineering drawings and coordinating with other disciplines for auxiliary plant systems. The role also supports project delivery activities and ensures compliance with company standards.
This opportunity is ideal for an Electrical Engineer with 7-15 years of experience in power generation or utility sectors, holding a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation. Familiarity with North American electrical codes and standards is essential, and experience with AutoCAD or Revit is a plus.
