Job Description
The company is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their national AI Fabric program. This role involves designing and shaping the electrical infrastructure for advanced data centres that will support cutting-edge AI workloads. You'll be working on a significant national initiative that aims to boost Canada's leadership in sovereign AI.
In this position, you will lead the design and optimization of electrical systems for new data centre builds and expansions. This includes developing detailed electrical diagrams, performing load calculations, and planning power distribution and protection systems. You'll collaborate with various teams to ensure designs meet all performance and safety requirements, and you'll also be involved in site assessments and procurement specifications.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 5-10 years of experience in designing mission-critical facilities. Proficiency with design tools like AutoCAD or Revit, along with a strong understanding of power distribution and backup systems, is essential. Experience with high-density environments and AI compute is a plus.
