Job Description
The company is looking for an experienced electrical engineer to help build Canada's AI Network. This role involves designing and shaping the electrical backbone of advanced data centers that will support massive GPU clusters and critical AI workloads. It's a unique chance to contribute to a national mission while applying deep technical expertise to systems that will define the future of Canadian AI capabilities.
You'll be responsible for leading the design, review, and optimization of electrical systems for new data center constructions, expansions, and upgrades. This includes developing single-line diagrams, load calculations, and distribution plans, as well as evaluating and planning electrical infrastructure like switchgear, UPS systems, and generators. Collaboration with architects, mechanical engineers, and facility operations teams will be key to ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and compliance requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, 5-10 years of experience in electrical design for critical facilities, and a strong understanding of power distribution and emergency/backup systems. Proficiency in design and modeling tools like AutoCAD, Revit, or ETAP is also essential.
