Job Description
This company is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Delft, Netherlands. You'll be working on cutting-edge lightweight structures for European space launch systems, contributing to projects that literally reach for the stars.
In this role, you'll dive into analyzing, verifying, and optimizing complex structures using tools like FEMAP and NASTRAN. You'll also design and refine metallic structures, focusing on strength, stiffness, and manufacturability, and be involved in mechanical testing and qualification. Collaboration with various engineering teams will be key to developing the best technical solutions.
The ideal candidate has a Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with a strong background in structural analysis or lightweight structures, and at least three years of experience in a similar role, preferably in aerospace. Proficiency with FEMAP and NASTRAN is essential.
