Job Description
This role is for an electromechanical estimator in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, working within the Building division. You'll be involved in supporting new and ongoing projects, contributing to bids and execution for construction projects ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion.
Your day-to-day will involve quantifying materials and labor, preparing quantity summaries from plans and specifications, and occasionally assisting with concept selection, site visits, and subcontractor pricing. You'll also help manage subcontractor information and participate in value engineering to reduce construction costs.
The company is looking for someone with a technical background in building mechanics or electrical systems, or equivalent experience. Strong skills in reading plans and specifications, along with proficiency in software like OST, Excel, and Revit-MEP, are essential. Experience with Design-Build projects and estimating for commercial and institutional projects is also key.
