Job Description
This role is for an electromechanical estimator in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. You'll be supporting the building division, working on projects ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion. Your main focus will be on quantitative evaluation of materials and labor, preparing quantity summaries based on plans and specifications, and collaborating with proposal and execution teams.
You'll also be involved in sourcing prices from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring bid compliance, and contributing to cost-reduction strategies through value analysis. Occasional participation in coordination meetings, site visits, and concept selection for collaborative projects will also be part of the job.
The ideal candidate will have a technical background in building mechanics or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience, with strong knowledge of electromechanical systems. Proficiency in reading plans and specifications, along with experience in commercial and institutional projects, is essential. Familiarity with estimation software like OST, Excel, and Revit-MEP is also required.
