Job Description
The company is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with 8 to 10 years of experience to join their team in Boston, Massachusetts. This role focuses on designing test fixtures and pallets, translating concepts into fabrication-ready drawings, and providing onsite support to client design engineers.
You'll be responsible for capturing fixture and test setup requirements, creating work packages for an offshore team, and managing the design feedback loop. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in machine design, R&D, and tooling/fixture design, with a solid understanding of common OEM components and manufacturing processes. Proficiency in UG NX is essential, along with knowledge of material selection, machining, and fabrication.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of project delivery from concept to release, acting as a key interface between client teams and the offshore design group. If you have a background in mechanical design and are adept at creating detailed manufacturing drawings, this role could be a great fit.
