This role involves structural design for new and ongoing substation projects, supporting multiple projects simultaneously within small, collaborative teams. You'll be responsible for the analysis and design of structural elements like steel structures, foundations, and anchorage, as well as transmission line steel lattice towers and poles. The company is looking for someone to enhance their expertise in substation management through cutting-edge technology and advanced methodologies. You'll work closely with engineers, designers, and drafters, coordinating design efforts across disciplines to meet client expectations for quality, budget, and schedule. Developing proficiency in design and analysis software such as RISA, FAD Tools, LPile, Mathcad, PLS software suite, and AutoCAD is key, along with gaining knowledge of relevant codes and industry standards. A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and at least two years of structural design experience in substations, transmission, bridges, or buildings are required.
