Job Description
The company is looking for a VDC Coordinator in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada. This role involves working closely with project teams to manage BIM Execution Plans and VDC implementation strategies. You'll be responsible for understanding owner BIM requirements and using various software tools to create BIM model-based deliverables.
Your day-to-day will include developing project-specific workflows for estimating, logistics, planning, and scheduling. You'll also conduct constructability reviews, clash detection, and visualization, while managing BIM data throughout the project lifecycle. This position offers the opportunity to chair coordination meetings, generate drawings from BIM models, and manage Revit models for asset management.
You'll also be involved in VR walkthroughs with clients, collaborating with design teams to ensure compliance with project requirements, and using intelligent models to track site progress. The role requires proactive identification of coordination issues and acting as a subject matter expert for BIM-related matters. Experience with reality capture technologies like LiDAR and drones is also part of this dynamic position.
