Job Description
The company is looking for a VDC Engineer to join their Advanced Manufacturing Group. This role involves managing and optimizing digital delivery processes for projects in sectors like electric vehicles and data centers. You'll be responsible for VDC/BIM leadership, aligning technologies with project goals, and defining digital delivery scopes.
Your day-to-day will include creating BIM Execution Plans, integrating VDC tasks like 3D logistics and 4D scheduling, and managing the Common Data Environment. You'll also lead clash detection and resolution, act as a BIM Subject Matter Expert, and oversee model redlining and as-built processes. This is a site-based role with a flexible home office location in the U.S., requiring on-site presence and leadership.
The ideal candidate has at least 7 years of VDC/BIM experience in construction, with strong knowledge of BIM technologies and software like Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud. Experience with laser scanning and point cloud data management is also important, as are excellent communication and leadership skills. A proven track record of leading VDC activities on-site and a strong understanding of construction processes are essential.
