Job Description
The company is looking for a VDC Engineer to join their Advanced Manufacturing Group. This role involves managing and optimizing digital delivery processes for projects in the electric vehicle, data center, and consumer goods sectors. You'll be responsible for aligning technologies with project goals, defining digital delivery scopes, and coordinating model deliverables.
Your day-to-day will include creating BIM Execution Plans, integrating VDC tasks like 4D scheduling and 5D cost estimation, and managing the Common Data Environment (Autodesk Construction Cloud). You'll also lead clash detection, act as a BIM subject matter expert, and oversee laser scan data integration and as-built processes. This is a site-based role with a flexible home office location in the U.S., requiring on-site presence and leadership.
The ideal candidate has at least 7 years of VDC/BIM experience in construction, with strong proficiency in software like Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud. Experience with laser scanning and point cloud data management is essential, as are excellent communication and leadership skills. A background in developing BIM execution plans and a solid understanding of construction processes are also key.
