Job Description
The company is looking for a Design and Estimation Lead to join their team in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. This role involves overseeing the entire design and estimation process for modular furniture, doors, and frames. You'll be translating client needs into practical designs, creating detailed Bills of Materials, Cutlists, and CNC drilling patterns, and addressing technical questions.
This position requires a strong understanding of furniture and interior product design, with the ability to interpret architectural drawings. Proficiency in production design software like CUTRITE, MOZAIK, or WOODWOP is essential, along with experience in design tools such as AutoCAD or SketchUp. A good grasp of manufacturing processes, materials, and production limitations for modular furniture and doors is also key.
You'll collaborate with various teams, including sales, engineering, and production, to ensure smooth project execution from concept to delivery. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail, are important for accuracy in designs and estimates. A background in Interior Design, Furniture Design, Architecture, or Engineering is preferred, and experience leading design teams is a plus.
