This company is looking for a Senior BIM Coordinator to join their team in Wendell, North Carolina. You'll be responsible for managing the BIM coordination process, focusing on plumbing and mechanical systems using Revit and Navisworks. This involves ensuring the quality of models for prefabrication and field installation, and collaborating with internal teams to meet company standards. You'll act as a key technical resource for BIM on projects, analyzing designs to create workable models and ensuring constructability. Your role will involve checking model quality, extracting quantities, performing clash detection, and resolving conflicts. You'll also translate 2D drawings into 3D models and provide guidance to project managers on BIM implementation costs. This position requires a strong understanding of MEP systems, construction techniques, and building codes. You'll also assist the BIM manager with training and lead coordination efforts for assigned projects, directing drafters and other staff as needed.
