This role is for a Distribution Systems Lead Engineer to support an ongoing BIM contract on-site at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. You'll be responsible for leading and supervising engineers and technicians working on OSP/ISP, fiber optics, and communication closets, ensuring integrated engineering across disciplines. Your day-to-day will involve managing agency and subcontractor labor, acting as the primary engineering liaison with government points of contact and base stakeholders, and coordinating base access, security, and installation schedules. You'll also validate engineering deliverables, lead design reviews, and identify and mitigate engineering risks. The ideal candidate has over 10 years in telecommunications engineering and at least 5 years leading multi-discipline engineering teams in field environments. Experience with large-scale communications modernization projects for government clients and familiarity with AF/SF installation processes are essential. A Secret clearance is required.
