Job Description
The company is looking for a proactive and autonomous BIM Manager to join their Mechanical and Electrical BIM team in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. This role involves overseeing BIM data coordination, ensuring quality and compliance, and optimizing processes for multidisciplinary engineering projects.
You will represent the firm as the M&E BIM Manager to clients and partners, developing coordination strategies and data governance. You'll create and maintain project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), conduct quality checks and model audits, and provide training and support to project teams on BIM standards and tools. Staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies will be key to continuously improving BIM practices.
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field, is required, along with at least 10 years of BIM coordination experience, ideally on large-scale infrastructure or transportation projects. Proficiency in BIM software like Revit and Navisworks, along with knowledge of collaborative platforms and BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650), is essential. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills are also necessary, as is fluency in both French and English.
