Job Description
The company is looking for a Mechanical BIM Manager in North Carolina, United States. This role is all about leading the virtual construction efforts for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, with a special focus on prefabrication. You'll be the go-to person for ensuring models are accurate and ready for fabrication and installation, essentially making sure projects are built virtually before they hit the ground.
This position involves championing a "build it virtually first" mindset across the organization and with trade partners. You'll be responsible for setting and maintaining high standards for model accuracy, completeness, and constructability, implementing quality control processes to catch any issues before they impact fabrication or field teams.
You'll also play a key role in developing high-performing teams, fostering an environment of trust and continuous improvement. This includes recruiting, mentoring, and developing VDC professionals, and encouraging innovation and ownership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MEP systems, prefabrication, and advanced proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
