The company is looking for a BIM Manager to lead all BIM/VDC efforts for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. This role is crucial for virtually building projects before they begin in the field, with a strong focus on prefabrication. Success in this position means driving the adoption of VDC processes throughout the organization and ensuring high standards of model accuracy to support fabrication and installation. This position involves championing a "build it virtually first" philosophy and establishing clear expectations for model accuracy and constructability. The manager will implement quality control processes to ensure models are precise enough for fabrication without rework. Developing and mentoring VDC professionals and project teams is also a key responsibility, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and innovation. The role requires ensuring models are developed to a fabrication level of detail (LOD 400+) and collaborating with fabrication shops to align model output with manufacturing capabilities. This includes overseeing the creation of spool drawings, assemblies, and material lists, and virtually validating installation sequencing. The manager will also develop and enforce BIM/VDC standards and evaluate emerging technologies.
