Job Description
This role is for a senior AutoCAD drafter specializing in building mechanics and ventilation. The company works on commercial, industrial, and institutional projects, and you'll be transforming plans into clear, coordinated drawings for the field, fabrication, and installation. It's a hands-on position focused on execution and coordination.
You'll be responsible for creating and updating shop, installation, and coordination drawings for ventilation and building mechanical systems. This involves interpreting plans and specs to produce constructible drawings, modeling ductwork and equipment, and coordinating with project managers, estimators, and other trades. You'll also help resolve spatial conflicts and provide technical support for site execution.
The ideal candidate has significant experience as a senior drafter in building mechanics, particularly in HVAC, and is highly proficient in AutoCAD. You should be able to produce clean, structured drawings and have a good understanding of site constraints and installation realities. A practical, organized, and autonomous approach is key.
