The company is looking for a Senior Project Manager to represent the client's interests in large-scale school construction projects. This role involves overseeing projects from initial planning through to commissioning, ensuring they stay on track regarding costs, timelines, quality, and risks.
You will be responsible for managing external project teams, including planners, consultants, and contractors. A key part of the job is representing the client's interests when dealing with various stakeholders such as school administrations, authorities, and other project participants. This includes managing complex project processes, contracts, change orders, and risks, and finding solutions for challenging project situations.
The ideal candidate has a degree in a construction or real estate related field and several years of experience managing large, complex building projects, preferably in the public sector. Strong knowledge of project management, construction and procurement law, and relevant technical standards is essential. A confident demeanor and good negotiation skills are also important for collaborating effectively with diverse groups.
