Job Description
The company is looking for a Senior Estimator to join their team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This role involves leading cost planning, feasibility studies, and budget control from the early stages of a project through to contract award. You'll be working alongside architects, engineers, and project managers.
Your responsibilities will include developing cost plans and estimates, performing digital quantity take-offs, and producing Bills of Quantities (BoQs) using POMI and NRM standards. You will also manage tender processes, evaluate contractor bids, negotiate terms, and prepare tender evaluation reports for clients. Additionally, you'll lead value engineering workshops to find cost-effective design solutions.
To be successful in this role, you should have over 10 years of pre-contract estimating experience in the UAE, ideally with a background in a multidisciplinary consultancy or a major contractor. A degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering is required, and MRICS certification is highly desirable. Proficiency in software like CostX, Candy, or CUBIT, along with knowledge of POMI, NRM, and FIDIC, is essential.
