Job Description
This role is for a Computational Design Lead at a fast-growing AEC tech startup focused on generative and computational design software for the energy sector. The company is building solutions for data centers, transmission and distribution, and renewables.
The position involves a 50/50 split between managing a team of computational designers and coordinating with backend engineers, while also staying hands-on to support technical delivery. You'll be responsible for project delivery, acting as the main client contact post-sale, and traveling to client sites occasionally. This is a chance to build operational foundations and processes for a scaling team.
The ideal candidate will have a background in architecture, engineering, or product development, with practical experience in computational design using tools like Grasshopper and Rhino. Exposure to programming languages such as C#, Python, or VBA, along with leadership experience and a comfort with ambiguity in a startup environment, is essential. Experience in the energy sector is a significant plus.
