Job Description
This role is for a Senior Heavy Mechanical Engineer focusing on hydropower and dam projects. You'll be responsible for the design and implementation of key mechanical systems like gates, hoists, and cranes, working on both new builds and upgrades.
You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with civil, structural, and electrical engineers, as well as suppliers and consultants. This position involves technical leadership, ensuring designs meet codes and client needs, and providing support through construction and commissioning.
The company is looking for someone with at least 6 years of experience in heavy mechanical equipment design for hydropower, a Mechanical Engineering degree, and P.Eng. registration. Strong communication skills in French are essential, with English proficiency being a plus.
